IROM ITALIA, is a 100% Italian company.
With more than 45 years of experience in the agribusiness sector, Irom Italia, provides complete plants for processing rice, derivatives and cereals, technical assistance, control and calibration laboratory, consulting and spare parts for new and used machines.
It was founded in 1981 by Enzo Mori, from whom it takes its anagrammed name.
He introduces in Italy the first Japanese SATAKE Machines for Rice Bleaching.
Thanks to its long experience, tenacity, pursuit of innovation and absolute professionalism gained in more than 40 years of activity in the agribusiness sector, it is chosen by the Leading Companies in the field.
THE BEGINNINGS
Founder Enzo MORI was born in Gubbio (PG), in a small Frazione Febino, Località Belvedere at 650 msl, among the green hills of Umbria.
He attended, elementary school, at the Franciscan Friars’ college of Farneto, where he learned the hard discipline, and the motto “ora et labora.”
These are difficult years, but he will still know how to cope, even though the cassock, will never be his vocation. He graduated in Accountancy from Perugia High School, and then enrolled at the University of Perugia, Department of Economics and Business, where he remained for 2 years.

Back in Italy, he put his experience as a dealer to good use and began selling BERTOLINI Agricultural Machines.
After a few years, 1970 or so, he begins his collaboration with the Japanese Multi-National MITSUI BUSSAN CORPORATION, to whom they will entrust the Rice sector.

THE FOUNDATION OF THE COMPANY
The early 1970s, are those that will mark the turning point for Enzo who will introduce the SATAKE Horizontal Whitening Machines, the BS Clutch and RM Emery models.

In 1981, after a good 10 Years of employment with MISTUI, he left the Japanese company to found his own business that he would call IROM ITALIA Snc (The Company Name is an anagram of the Last Name).
The 1980s marked the rise of IROM ITALIA, and of Mr. ENZO, who made a name for himself among the most important Risieri, such as INVERNIZZI, SCOTTI, GRAZIA, CURTI, PREVE, GARIBOLDI, RONCAIA ROMANO, to name a few.
His person is always well accepted, and his technical advice, always taken in high regard.

RELATIONS WITH SUPPLIERS
His ability to empathize with customers will lead him to forge business relationships, and friendship, even going so far as to organize Cultural Trips to the East (Japan and Thailand), with numerous Resorts, to visit the SATAKE Factory in Hiroshima or the Rice Fields in Thailand.
He will be among the first to promote SATAKE’s Optical Color Selectors, As early as the early 1980s.
His desire for novelty, will lead him, then to consolidate business relationships with other Suppliers, also in the Cereal Sector, such as KETT ELECTRIC LABORATORY (Japanese), with whom he starts the import and sale of Moisture Meters for Rice and Paddy Rice and other Cereals, thus expanding his commercial offer.
The Mill and Pasta Factories Sector, too, begin to make contact with IROM ITALIA, which is always able to offer the latest industry innovations.
In the early 1990s, Many Mills and/or Rice Mills feel the problem of maintenance and cleaning of the Plant Pipes, sometimes clogged with deposits of dust or flour.
He is contacted by PROGEO of Parma, which asks him for Pipe Cleaning Machinery.
He gets in touch with an American Company GOODWAY TECHNOLOGIES, which offers him a revolutionary pneumatic device, to unclog the Pipes: It’s a success! After PROGEO also BARILLA ALIMENTARE SPA, will buy in a single lot as many as 10 of these tools.
In the late 1990s, the marketing of the BRAMECOM Cerex (Belgium) Rice Ball Machines began, managing to sell, several units.
The high purchase costs and low profit margin, convinced Enzo, to produce the Machine in Italy, with the cooperation of BALCONI AUTOMAZIONI.
Their partnership would last several Years, bringing in as many as 20 IROM-3R-90 Machines sold to the Scotti Group (ENAC SRL).
In 1998, the breakup with SATAKE, which for no less than 25 Years (since 1973 as a Mitsui Employee and since 1981, as IROM) also caused him to lose the representation of ESM Scan Master.
Enzo is not discouraged, and contacts his Friend Ishida Isashi (Former General Manager of SATAKE), who confides in him that the first SATAKE Color Machines were manufactured by ANZAI MANUFACTURING Co, of Chiba.
He then entered into a new Exclusive Agency contract with ANZAI in 1998, always maintaining indirect contact with SATAKE, allowing him to continue assisting his most trusted clients.
In the 2000s, we change tastes, and food needs. Many sub-products, such as rice flour, are re-evaluated and processed, through Extruders (Extruders).
Mr. MORI ENZO, gets in touch with his correspondents in CHINA (Hunan) and visits several Factories, with which he makes new business agreements.
